Woodfield School, part of Henry David Learning Trust, is an innovative and exciting independent special school, supporting children and young people with Autism and associated speech & language, social communication and behavioural difficulties, aged 7 to 19.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to join our community to take on the role of Intervention Support Champion on a full time, permanent basis. Key responsibilities of the position will be creating a learning culture & experience for pupils who find it a challenge to engage with a full programme of onsite learning, and to work with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis to reengage them with onsite learning. The successful candidate will also work closely with the SENCo and Curriculum Deputy on targeting and agreeing a programme of support and intervention for students, off and onsite. You will be part of a team who will continue to influence and contribute to the Pastoral Team at our school.

Our key aims for our children are to:

* Become happy, safe and confident members of the community
* Develop strategies for self-managing their behaviour in all settings.
* Become responsible citizens
* Fulfil their potential to lead as meaningful and independent a life as possible

To achieve these aims we need dedicated members of staff to join us in addressing the needs of children who need help to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside the school in order to achieve their full potential.

Why join Woodfield School?

* Free onsite parking
* Beautiful countryside location with access to local walks before and after school
* Access to tailored professional development through the National College and our in-house training providers
* A unique experience of teaching classes in a small setting
* A varied week supporting young people on visits to local amenities such as the library, gym and swimming
* Member of the Woodfield family where we learn and grow better together following our ASK principles: Ambition| Support| Kindness
* Opportunities for promotion in our vision for growth plans

Our ethos is strongly rooted in our commitment to provide our students with a supportive, safe and enabling environment for them to discover their confidence and achieve their aspirations for the future. They will develop their resilience and gain securely embedded skills that will set them on their journey towards a fulfilled and meaningful life.

If you share the similar values and ethos, we want to hear from you!
