Adecco is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established leader in manufacturing and machining. Renowned within their industry, they work with a range of customers from small engineering firms, startups to major multinational employers across various market sectors, with a global reach.

The position is permanent working Monday- Friday office hours, with a 15.30pm finish each Friday. Salary range is between £28,000- £33,000 per annum depending on skills/experience.

Overall role:

We are seeking a candidate with prior experience in sales or account management, ideally within the engineering or manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will exhibit a positive and enthusiastic attitude, coupled with a strong willingness to learn and grow within a B2B sales environment.

Duties:

• Responding to enquiries via phone/email
• Contacting new and existing customers by telephone
• Raising quotations and inputting orders
• Reading technical drawings
• Updating customers on their orders
• Following up on customer enquiries
• General office administration and supporting the Sales executives

Required skills

• Strong communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills & the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
• Polite telephone manner
• Strong computer skills including MS applications
• Positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and progress
