You'll join the Group Internal Audit team, reporting to the Chair of the Audit Committee. You'll assist the group in achieving its objectives through systematic evaluation and improvement of risk management, control, and governance processes.

Description

  • You'll report directly to the Head of Internal Audit, leading on the development and delivery of the annual thematic audit programme
  • You'll be a trusted advisor to all levels of management on strategies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management, covering operational, financial, strategic and regulatory topics
  • You'll develop and maintain highly effective internal audit policies, procedures & methodologies, ensuring that all our audit activities align to regulatory requirements and general best practice, continuously considering opportunities to innovate and improve upon our ways of working
  • You'll contribute to the on-going development of the wider Internal Audit team by providing leadership, coaching and feedback
  • You'll lead the development and production of concise and impactful audit reporting, with a focus on root causes and business solutions
  • You'll act upon common themes and insights gained from Internal Audit findings
  • You'll have the opportunity to deputise for the Head of Internal Audit

Profile

  • A relevant chartered professional qualification, such as Accountancy or Internal Audit
  • Significant Internal Audit skills, working at or towards Manager level
  • Excellent knowledge of IIA Standards, Control Models, and Risk Management methodologies
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to coach and inspire others
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • You'll possess excellent relationship building skills
  • You'll be passionate about working effectively as part of a team
  • You'll be an effective communicator who can guide and influence at all levels
  • You'll have the ability to present clearly, concisely and explain your reasoning and opinion
