Global Accounting Network are partnering exclusively with an international retail client who are looking for an interim Financial Accountant to join for an initial 12 month period. As the Financial Accountant, this position will have a focus around lease accounting, looking at the various store openings & closings.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Financial Control team with the monthly close
  • Post journal entries, complete balance sheet reconciliations, close the legal entity books
  • Process all monthly changes to leases within the lease accounting tool
  • Business partner with the wider finance function in FP&A & Legal
  • Take ownership of the lease related journal entries
  • Provide support for the internal & external audits
  • Ad hoc tasks

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified or Finalist Accountant
  • MUST have lease accounting experience -IFRS 16
  • Strong month end experience
  • US GAAP & SAP experience would be beneficial
  • Retail background would be advantageous
