My client is a renowned legal 100 law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services. With a commitment to excellence and a focus on innovation, the firm is expanding its team and is currently seeking an experienced IP Lawyer (Trade marks, Copy rights designs & patents) with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE). 

Role Overview:

As an IP Lawyer you will be responsible for handling a diverse range of intellectual property matters with a primary focus on trade marks, patents, copyright and design matters. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of legal professionals and contribute to the firm's continued success. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Portfolio Management: Oversee and maintain trade mark portfolios for clients, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Getting involved in a wide range of IP matters including; trade marks, passing off, patents, copyright and design matters
  • Legal Advice: Provide expert legal advice on trade mark matters, including infringement, enforcement, and commercial transactions
  • Client Interaction: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business objectives and tailoring legal strategies accordingly
  • Dispute Resolution: Handle trade mark disputes, including oppositions and cancellations, through negotiation, mediation, or litigation as necessary
  • Research and Analysis: Stay updated on developments in trade mark law, industry trends, and best practices to provide informed legal counsel
  • Dealing with High court proceedings 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property laws and regulations
  • Proven experience in managing trade mark portfolios and handling contentious trade mark matters
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
