Risk Manager - Insurance Market background essential

A Risk Manager is required with strong understanding of the insurance market and risk, ideally understands the operations of a Lloyd’s syndicate and Underwriting, Solvency II and other regulatory requirements.

City of London, hybrid working

The responsibilities of the role include risk management framework, risk identification and monitoring, reporting, risk appetite & KRIs and client relationship management.

Responsibility for all aspects of risk management across assigned clients, challenging the risk management and controls within those clients.

Leading and mentoring junior team members to develop their understanding of risk management and the companies and clients.

Review and own reporting to both client and governance forums.

Risk identification and monitoring

Responsible for identifying, documenting and rating risks in relevant clients, including reviewing work undertaken by direct reports. Ensuring a complete record is maintained in Decision Focus of all the risks in the allocated clients

Organising and facilitating risk workshops to identify and rates risks

Validation Prepare validation reports for allocated Syndicates and complete validation work for allocated sections of validation, including reviewing and challenging validation work performed by the Actuarial department and external parties.
