The EQ Data Office has recently been instituted to empower both EQ and their customers in harnessing the power of their data for informed decision-making. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Data Insight Analyst to join our dynamic team.

We are looking for a skilled Data Insight Analyst to collaborate with stakeholders and data engineers in delivering insights and solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and interpreting complex data sets across multiple systems to provide actionable insights and support decision-making across various departments within the organization.

The role will involve utilizing advanced analytical techniques, statistical methods, and data visualization tools to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities that drive business growth and efficiency.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, validate and process data from multiple sources ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to streamline the data extraction and transformation process. Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the data analytics workflow.
  • Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, correlations, and patterns in large datasets. Interpret data and present findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders. Utilize modelling techniques to forecast future trends and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for measuring business performance. Generate actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Communicate complex data insights effectively through visualization techniques to non-technical stakeholders. Contribute to the creation of data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using tools such as Power BI, or similar.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in data analysis techniques, tools, and technologies.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
    Proven experience as a Data / Business / Insight Analyst, preferably in the financial sector.
  • Understanding of financial concepts, products, and markets.
  • Proven experience working with large datasets and performing complex data analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis and data modelling techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and big data technologies.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and algorithms is a plus.
  • Certification in financial analysis or data analytics (e.g., CFA, CFP, CAP)
