An established manufacturer of injection moulded plastic parts and products for a range of industries such as Automotive, Rail, Electronics and Medical is actively seeking an Injection Moulding Technician to join their team.

***Dayshift £35,000-£38,000***

Based in their Kent moulding facility, consisting of 25 moulding machines, your main focus will be on ensuring production runs at optimum output whilst also being responsible for setting up new tooling.

As an Injection Moulding Technician your duties will include:

  • Carrying out tool changes and condition setting.
  • Performing tool trials on new tools ready for production running.
  • Investigating and resolving process/moulding issues.
  • Optimisation of processes to improve cycle times, save money and reduce scrap.
  • Supervision of operators.

To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Technician, the ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working in a plastic injection moulding environment, holding the same job title or similar such as Process Technician or Tool Setter.
  • Have experience of tool trialling and optimisation.
  • Have a high level of understanding with regards to processing and troubleshooting.
  • Be knowledgeable with a range of polymers and their properties.
