Infrastructure Architect (Azure)  

On behalf of our iconic client, we are currently recruiting for an exceptional Infrastructure Architect. As Infrastructure Architect you will be responsible for the technical design, development, implementation, maintenance/management, documentation, and governance of the Microsoft Azure estate.



The Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for:

  • Implementation and management of Azure-based cloud storage including authorisation and security, while helping to define appropriate backup and restore, and disaster recovery, business continuity and organizational resilience policies and approach in conjunction with the relevant leads in these areas
  • Utilising Microsoft and industry security best practices, aligning with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure, in the architecture and deployment of solutions leveraging Infrastructure as Code methodologies as needed
  • Working closely with our Development Team supporting and following Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD) best practices using Azure DevOps build and release pipelines.
  • Authoring Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation to a high technical standard
  • Undertaking monitoring, reporting, performance, and cost management activities as appropriate for the Cloud Services provided covering both Internal and External use cases and developed applications


The Infrastructure Architect will have the following:

  • Expert knowledge of Azure Architecture and Solutions Expertise and Administration
  • Understanding of Subscriptions, Landing Zones, Resource Groups, Azure Policies & Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Experience delivering Azure IaaS/PaaS solutions with an infrastructure focus. Including but not limited to - Compute, Storage, Networks, Monitoring, Management, Backup
  • Expert knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems (including OS fine-tuning, troubleshooting & installation & managing infrastructure services such as DHCP, DNS, DFS)
  • Capability to author and update infrastructure, support, and procedural documentation.
