Industrial Electrician

Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our client on a permanent contract.

Core hours are 08:00 - 16:30 but there is flexibility to start from 06:00am if preferred.

You will be responsible for the wiring and installation of bespoke machinery / equipment. A key part of this role is the fabrication and installation of metal trunking & conduit.

You will have experience in fabricating, cutting to size and installation of trunking / conduit of various sizes on various different machines. No two jobs are the same which offers variety and the opportunity for independent working.

Duties will include:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements
• Collaborate with other team members to diagnose and resolve complex electrical problems
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
• Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to complete tasks
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
• Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role

Experience required:

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods
• Familiarity with local and national electrical codes
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment effectively
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

The control panels are pre-fabricated and populated and you will be required to wire / connect the various components of the machinery and equipment.

Due to the level of detail and expertise required in the trunking / conduit, we are unable to consider domestic electricians. You must be an experienced Industrial Electrician.

This is a permanent role paying up to £17.30 (£36,000), 40 hours per week.
