Industrial Door Engineer

Due to expansion, my client is looking to employ a skilled Industrial Door Engineer to join their growing team, supporting the Bristol, Cardiff and Swindon areas. As a leading manufacturer and service provider to the Automatic & Industrial Door industries, along with being a global manufacturer of Lift & Escalator equipment, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly reputable brand as an established Door Engineer.

The role will involve the following duties;

• Conducting routine maintenance inspections industrial door systems to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
• Performing diagnostic tests and troubleshooting procedures to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, or programming issues with door systems.
• Repairing or replacing damaged or malfunctioning components of industrial doors, including motors, sensors, rollers, tracks, and controls.
• Conducting adjustments and calibrations to ensure optimal performance and functionality of door systems, including opening and closing speeds, sensitivity settings, and safety features.
• Responding promptly to service calls and emergency requests from clients to address urgent issues with door systems, such as breakdowns, malfunctions, or safety concerns.
• Participating in the company's standby rota on a 1 week in 6 basis, however this may decrease to 1 in 7, or 1 in 8 in the coming months. Additional participation is optional and not mandatory.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you are required to have;

• A minimum of 4 years' experience in the servicing and repair of various industrial door equipment.
• Ideally an NVQ 2 in Industrial Doors, however this is not an essential requirement.
• A full UK Driving License, with a maximum of 6 points currently held.
• The willingness to learn and work on automatic door equipment in the future.

The position offers an excellent remuneration package, including;

• A basic salary of up to £34,500pa.
• Radius travel pay to cover commute.
• Overtime paid at enhanced rates after 37.5 hours contracted.
• Excellent standby fee of £65 per call, plus door-to-door at enhanced rates for hours worked.
