Import Operator

Our client is seeking a proactive Import Operator to join their dynamic team and contribute to our continued success. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within Ocean freight.

Job Specifications:

Import Operator Requirements:

• Demonstrated success with a minimum of two years of experience handling import operator duties in a small to medium-sized freight forwarder
• Proficiency with CNS and Destin8; experience with Multi-freight forwarding software is preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• A collaborative team player with a proactive approach
• Excellent English and Mathematics skills

Responsibilities:

• Liaising with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, including shipping lines, hauliers, and depots
• Handling internal file creation and invoice generation
• Managing supplier invoices and addressing discrepancies when necessary
• Monitoring vessel arrivals and coordinating collections and deliveries to meet customer deadlines
• Conducting follow-ups post-delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and identify further service opportunities
