Contract Details: Permanent
Salary: From £25,000 to £30,000 per year + benefits + free car park
About Our Client:
Our client is a leading engineering company with a small yet dynamic shipping department. They specialise in import and export logistics and are dedicated to providing exceptional service to their clients. With a strong commitment to compliance, they ensure all declarations are accurately prepared and submitted. They are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Import/Export Logistics Coordinator to join their team and contribute to their continued success.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage import and export logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods
- Prepare and submit customs declarations and documentation
- Work closely with carriers, agents, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient transportation and communication
- Monitor shipping schedules and resolve any issues or delays
- Track shipments and maintain accurate records
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to provide updates on shipment status
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any shipping-related issues
- Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and international trade laws
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import and export regulations and industry best practises
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement process improvements
Essential (Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience):
- Previous experience in import/export logistics coordination or a related role
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping requirements
- Proven ability to prepare and submit customs declarations
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and logistics software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
