Role- HVAC Design Engineer

Salary- £35,000- £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Type- Permanent

Location- Stourbridge

My client works within the building services sector and they are looking to take on a HVAC Design Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Stourbridge area.

The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • A hands-on background in Commercial, Construction, HVAC, Piping or similar
  • An interest in moving into an office-based Design role
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD software would be beneficial
  • Confident speaking on the phone and communicating with customers to understand requirements
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • Have good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be happy working on quotations and liaising with customers
The Design Engineer role will involve:
  • Designing piping systems
  • Designing BMS, Chillers, Cooling Systems
  • Being responsible for generating CAD designs for systems
  • Providing materials schedules for new and existing customers
  • Being involved in growing the sales of systems
  • Offering design support
  • Working as part of a technical team
  • Keeping the CAD library up to date with new products and prices
  • Responding to any customer enquiries via phone and email
  • Always working to the companies QMS
  • Looking at areas to improve products and services offered
