Humanities Teacher

We are seeking an outstanding Humanities Teacher to inspire and excite students in their learning of Geography and Citizenship. The ideal candidate will join a well-resourced department that is focused on raising achievement. This role is perfect for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced educator looking for continuous personal and professional development.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Geography and Citizenship.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum materials and innovative teaching practices.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of a variety of trips, visits, and extra-curricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Humanities department to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes student engagement.
  • Support the ethos of the Academy by building strong professional relationships and contributing to the community.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography and Citizenship.
  • Ability to maintain a positive growth mindset and overcome challenges.
  • Collaborative spirit and strong relationship-building skills.
  • Motivational skills to inspire students and staff to achieve their full potential.
  • Energetic, with a ‘can-do’ attitude and strong career aspirations.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all students.
  • Willingness to lead and participate in co-curricular activities.
