Exciting opportunity to join this amazing independent creative agency as their first ever in-house HR Manager.

They currently outsource their HR function but due to business growth they are bringing this in house for an established HR professional to set up and run. Exciting!

They have a 'start up’ feel to them and are growing at a fairly rapid rate so you must be able to adapt to change and the changing HR employment law landscape.

You will be key in hiring the best London talent across various disciplines of the business.

They are looking for someone ambitious and driven as there is plenty of room for career progression and development, ideally this person will sit on the senior leadership team in the future.

  • Hybrid working, 2-3 days in the London office
  • Newly created role due to business growth
  • £60k-£70k+ benefits
  • Option to do a 4 day week

The role:

  • Develop, implement and manage the people strategy, improving and setting up the HR function from scratch
  • HR Generalist duties including employee wellbeing, culture & recruitment
  • Attract, recruit, onboard and retain a high calibre of talent across the whole business and put recruitment process and strategies in place
  • Team performance management, provide guidance, support & constructive feedback.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities and relevant training
  • Implement culture & wellbeing initiatives to ensure a positive, collaborative and inclusive workplace
  • Resolving workplace conflicts should they arise
  • Ensure employment laws and regulations are adhered to, and stay up to date with new and evolving employment laws
  • Collaborate closely with the Management team
  • Shape and implement new employee benefits
  • Expand and implement more robust D&I initiatives
  • Support with looking after IR35 compliance
  • Recruit and manage a junior HR assistant in the future depending on business needs

The person

  • Ideally experience setting up an HR department from scratch
  • Must have experience working in a fast paced creative environment
  • Is happy in a sole charge role, being hands on in the detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great problem solver
  • Approachable and influential with a positive outlook and energy
  • Likes doing hands on recruitment, a background in recruitment helpful
  • Ambitious and motivated
