Their staff work closely with individual customers and businesses across the UK and Ireland, providing the highest level of customer service and support. This company has appointed Hays exclusively to recruit a HR Officer / Manager for their organisation. This is a stand-alone role that offers a competitive salary & benefits package along with hybrid working.

Your new role
As HR Officer / Manager, you will report directly to the senior management team and have responsibility for the HR function within the business. You will be the first point of contact for all staff in relation to HR enquiries. As HR Officer / Manager, you will support the management team on the implementation of company policies and procedures, including employee relations advice such as disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and ensuring best practice approaches are followed. As HR Officer / Manager, your key responsibilities will include recruitment and selection of staff at all levels across the business. Managing the onboarding and off-boarding of staff. Keeping monitoring records for EQ FEC returns. Maintaining the company's Time Management System and Staff Intranet. Collating reports for monthly payroll. Taking minutes and updating HR records. Organising and chairing / attending managers' meetings and providing updates accordingly. All HR Administration duties.

What you'll need to succeed
As HR Officer / Manager, essentially, you will have a degree in a Human Resources related discipline (or equivalent) and previous experience working as a HR Officer / Manager in a generalist role. You will be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of good HR practices, an awareness of current employment legislation, a high level of commitment, discretion, be self-motivated with excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work on your own initiative, making decisions as required.

Qualified to or working towards level 5 CIPD or equivalent would be desirable.
