HR and Payroll Officer
HR & Payroll Officer (Term Time Only plus 10 days) 30 or 37 hours
Our client is a leading Bath based school.
The role
They are looking for an HR and Payroll Officer to work 30-37 hours per week on a term time only basis, Monday to Friday with an 8am start each day.
Reporting into the HR Manager, responsibilities will include:
- Providing an approachable, professional HR service, offering advice and guidance to employees and managers
- Providing an efficient and responsive HR Operations service
- Providing HR Management Information on a regular and ad hoc basis as required
- Support a variety of HR projects.
- Minute taking at informal and formal meetings as requested.
- Maintaining accurate HR records (using HR database and manual files)
- Acting as an HR systems superuser
- Supporting in the delivery of training on HR systems and processes
- Organising safeguarding training
- Ongoing review and development of HR policies and procedures
- Responsibility for the leavers process
- Monitoring probation periods
- End to end recruitment including advertising roles, dealing with candidates, organising interviews, drafting offers of employment, pre-employment checks and organising induction.
- Supporting payroll, ensuring all required information is passed to external payroll provider in a timely manner and is accurate including starters, leavers, maternity, sickness, pension deductions, pay awards etc.
- Supporting with pensions administration
The person
- Previous HR administration experience would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience of working in a school environment would be beneficial.
- Strong IT skills
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Flexible attitude to work
- Able to use initiative.
The Salary
£23,018 - £24,634 (actual based on 37 hours per week) - term time only plus 10 days
Location
Combe Hay, Bath - 100% office based with occasional travel to other sites.
