HR Advisor
We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor for a fixed term contract until March 2025 for a professional and vibrant organisation. The ideal candidate will have previous experience gained from within a generalist role and experience with HR Information Systems (i.e., iTrent or Dynamics HR), SharePoint and Service Now would preferred.
The role is flexible and the candidate can be based anywhere within a defined area/region where an office is e.g. Wiltshire/ Hampshire.
Monday to Friday 8.30-5.00pm
Role Purpose
Provide an excellent and credible People function as part of the wider employee relations and People team
Provide a proactive and effective HR generalist advisory service to colleagues and leaders, ensuring they are aware of relevant policy, principles and processes and signpost relevant information and guidance, as required.
Build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels with the client group and manage employee relationships, promptly responding to queries and managing expectations
Provide support and coaching to leaders in respect of employee relations issues and case management, escalating to, and supporting the ER partner/s where appropriate. This may include, attending meetings, note taking, preparing information packs, and ensuring any related correspondence is managed and filed appropriately
Support HR projects as required.
Support the People Hub operations (all directorate areas) as required.
This role reports to the relevant Employee Relations Partner but will also support the Strategic Business Partners as required, and where required the wider People team, to provide a cohesive professional service to all leaders and colleagues within the Company Group.
High standards of customer service are the expected norm for the delivery of an evolving, proactive, and exceptional service provision to internal customers.
Experience and qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of HR administration and HR technology.
- Experience of working within an HR team within a specialist or generalist service model.
- Client relationship management: act as first point of contact for absence management advice for colleagues or leaders at all levels of the organisation.
- Basic understanding of GDPR and experienced in the management of HR systems, including case management and digital filing systems.
- Previous relevant experience working in a generalist HR advisor role
- Experience of working within a fast-paced environment is essential
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with HR Information Systems (i.e., iTrent or Dynamics HR), SharePoint and Service Now is preferred
- Hold (or be working towards) a recognised HR or CIPD Level 5 qualification
