Role: HR Administrator

Salary: Up to £29,000 DOE

Job Type: Full-Time/Permanent

Location: Macclesfield, fully on-site 

Hours: Either 08:00-17:00 or 08:15-17:15, Monday-Thursday. Friday is 08:00-13:00

Reed are proud to, again, be working with our longstanding manufacturing client in Macclesfield, supporting with their search for a HR Administrator. Due to the continued success of the wider business and headcount growth of their site, the HR team is expanding to ensure excellent service and support to their colleagues.

Reporting to the HR & HSE Director, the HR Administrator will play a key part in contributing towards the Company’s ambition to provide an outstanding HR service to internal and external customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • To provide a first point of contact for all administration and HR related queries
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of data through the HR Department with emphasis on maintaining the integrity of the data within Working Time Tracker (T&A system), ADP HR and payroll system, access control systems (including Stores area) including processing Department Transfers on a daily basis.
  • Contribute to the development of systems and identify improvements and waste/duplication where possible.
  • Liaising with the Senior HR Advisor & HR Co-ordinator in order to create onboarding document packs including new starter holiday letters and auto enrolment guide, new starter process new starters on WTT, ADP and the access control system
  • Ensure all right to work checks are completed and documented thoroughly
  • Administer the probationary review process
  • Support employee relations case work by raising template disciplinary/grievance documentation. 
  • Support HR Department in generating Paternity, Maternity, Parental Leave, Shared Parental Leave and Flexible Working Application documentation.
  • Manage the Absence Notifications and Fit Notes process including AWOLs in accordance with the standard procedure. Updating of the Sickness Absence Monitor and timely documentation of all return to work documentation.
  • Assist with the Leaver process including processing of exit interview data
  • Generate the WTT monthly absence reports in order to identify and resolve an anomalies or queries in preparation for calculating SSP and Company Sick Pay for payroll processing.

About you!

  • Previous experience working in a dedicated HR department
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or people focussed organisation
  • Excellent administrative skills and data input skills
  • Essential to have previous experience working on MS Office Packages
  • Desirable – ADP iHCM -HR & Payroll System experience
  • Desirable – Time & Attendance system management (Vizual)
  • Able to take initiative and where appropriate to work with the minimum of supervision
