Job Title: Housing Transformation Manager
Contract Type: 7-Month Hybrid Contract
Location: Sutton, London
Salary: £600/day

Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Housing Transformation Manager for a local authoirty in Sutton to review their housing services and explore opportunities for savings and efficiencies through structural and organisational changes. This pivotal role involves leading the investigation into potential efficiencies, including the consideration of bringing services back in-house. The successful candidate will oversee this transformational journey, supported by in-house project management and specialist external consultants.

This role can be worked on a full or part time basis, with a minimum of 3 days per week required

Responsibilities:

  • Review housing services to identify potential savings and efficiencies from structural and organisational changes.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of teams responsible for Housing Regeneration, Enabling, and Development, Refugee Resettlement, and Housing Strategy and Commissioning.
  • Lead relationships with key stakeholders, including the council's housing ALMO Sutton Housing Partnership (SHP), Encompass LATC, and Sutton Living Ltd.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as Housing Studies, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or Business Management.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in housing management, preferably within a local government setting.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading transformational projects or programs.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership working with diverse housing-related entities.

Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of UK housing policies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to develop and execute project plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
