The Role

Delighted to be supporting a growing business in Washington, Tyne and Wear with their search for a Health and Safety Coordinator.  Supporting the Health and Safety manager, this is a newly created role for the business and is due to an increase in projects.

Duties:
  • Assisting in the day-to-day management of the Health and Safety Department and being a point of contact for any queries relating to Health and Safety Issues.
  • Managing and implementing Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Collating and issuing Risk Assessment, Method Statements and Lifting Plans.
  • Creating and Issuing Contracts Managers, Site Supervisors and Sales Surveyors Risk Assessments and Method Statements (for Surveys).
  • Creating and issuing Drone Risk Assessment and Method Statements.
  • Collating Site Inductions and Completions.
  • Issuing PQQ’s/Supplier Questionnaires.
  • Updating Company Accreditations.
  • Creating Health and Safety Files.
  • Requesting/checking Scaffolding and Crane Risk Assessment, Method Statements and Lifting Plans.
  • Paperwork chases for CM/SS (every other day).
  • Updating/Managing BSI ISO 9001:2015
  • Creating/amending Construction Phase Plans.
  • Creating and issuing O&M Manuals.
  • Health and Safety Site Visits/Audits.
  • Applying for Training Grant from CITB (annually).
  • Any other Health and Safety Duties as requested by Health and Safety Manager.
  • Conducting Training Matrix and Booking Training


The Person

The successful candidate will have the following attributes and experience:
  • Ideally will have or currently studying towards a NEBOSH or IOSH
  • Team player
  • Experience of working within a similar role
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • IT savvy
