An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and visionary Principal at a vibrant and aspirational special school in, East Sussex. The school caters to children and young people with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs, all of whom have an Education Health Care plan (EHCP). We are looking for a leader who is ambitious and committed to improving outcomes for all learners.
Day to Day of the role:- Lead the school with a clear vision and ensure the highest possible standard of education for all pupils.
- Work closely with the CEO, the Executive Leadership Team, and the School Senior Leadership Team to develop and strengthen the school’s work and reach.
- Inspire and develop skilled staff, maintain a supportive and aspirational culture, and hold staff accountable.
- Analyse and act upon data to maintain and continuously develop the highest quality of education.
- Ensure rigorous safeguarding processes are in place for the safety and well-being of all pupils.
- Drive initiatives to increase attendance and engagement among the hardest to reach pupils.
- Oversee the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum, enriched with outdoor and off-site activities.
- Proven track record of outstanding teaching and leadership & management experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
- Resilience and a solution-focused approach.
- High-level operational management skills.
- Ability to inspire, influence, and work effectively within a Multi-Academy Trust.
