An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and visionary Principal at a vibrant and aspirational special school in, East Sussex. The school caters to children and young people with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs, all of whom have an Education Health Care plan (EHCP). We are looking for a leader who is ambitious and committed to improving outcomes for all learners.

• Lead the school with a clear vision and ensure the highest possible standard of education for all pupils.
• Work closely with the CEO, the Executive Leadership Team, and the School Senior Leadership Team to develop and strengthen the school’s work and reach.
• Inspire and develop skilled staff, maintain a supportive and aspirational culture, and hold staff accountable.
• Analyse and act upon data to maintain and continuously develop the highest quality of education.
• Ensure rigorous safeguarding processes are in place for the safety and well-being of all pupils.
• Drive initiatives to increase attendance and engagement among the hardest to reach pupils.
• Oversee the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum, enriched with outdoor and off-site activities.

• Proven track record of outstanding teaching and leadership & management experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
• Resilience and a solution-focused approach.
• High-level operational management skills.
• Ability to inspire, influence, and work effectively within a Multi-Academy Trust.
