SALARY: £71,729 - £83,081 per annum (L18 - L24) + Benefits

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Head Teacher / School Principalwho is a qualified teacher with extensive experience of both hands-on teaching and management in education, and great leadership qualities.

Working as the Head Teacher / School Principal you will join a beautiful Primary and Middle school (Reception to Year 8) in the heart of Frome, neighbouring Victoria Park. The school is graded as 'good’ with 'outstanding’ in "behaviour and attitudes", "leadership and management" and "personal development".

As the Head Teacher / School Principal you will:

  • School Culture: Drive the school’s ethos and strategic direction, fostering a positive environment aligned with its core principles
  • Teaching: Establish and sustain high-quality, expert teaching across all subjects and phases and embed the School Teacher Habits across the school
  • Curriculum and Assessment: Utilise effective evaluation processes to identify and address barriers to school effectiveness, implementing evidence-informed improvement strategies
  • Working in Partnership: Foster relationships with parents, the local community, and other educational institutions to support student success and school improvement initiatives
  • Governance and Accountability: Embrace the role of governance, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks, professional responsibilities, and accountability measures

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • You will have leadership qualities to challenge, inspire, motivate and empower others
  • A strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage pupils, staff and parents
  • Have the ability to drive excellence by valuing and developing others, you will be a qualified teacher with extensive experience of both hands-on teaching and management in education
  • Make sure the quality of teaching and learning is at the centre of strategic planning and ensure a planned annual cycle of assessment, monitoring and evaluation across the school
  • Ensure a consistent and continuous approach to monitoring pupil progress, using data and benchmarks to identify individual and group achievement
  • Be able to balance resources efficiently and effectively in a way that maximises performance and ensures the financial sustainability of the school
