Head of Underwriting

I am looking for a Head of Underwriting to report to a CUO for a large carrier with huge potential for growth. You will lead the underwriting function for a growing range of products across property, casualty and marine for a leading insurer. The role will drive strategic underwriting initiatives, manage underwriting teams, and ensure profitability whilst maintaining underwriting discipline. The role will complement and assist the CUO by participating in EXCO meetings when required, driving underwriting best practice, and assisting with reinsurance purchasing. The role requires proven leadership and people management skills and the ability to mentor Underwriters and Senior Underwriters.
