Reporting directly to the CFO, our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Tax to lead their tax department and ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax planning, strategy, and compliance, with a focus on R&D relief and expertise in the manufacturing sector.

Role

Responsibilities for the Head of Tax will include:

• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise the organisation's tax position and minimise risk.
• Provide expert guidance on R&D relief and tax incentives to support innovation initiatives.
• Oversee tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns and reports.
• Manage relationships with tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and ensure tax considerations are integrated into decision-making processes.

Profile

• It is essential the candidate is a Qualified Accountant.
• Extensive experience in tax advisory and compliance.
• Knowledge of R&D relief and tax considerations specific to the manufacturing sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
