Job Location: Edwalton, Nottinghamshire - Hybrid (1 day in office)

Salary: £70,000 Basic + 10% Annual Targeted Bonus

Days/Times: Monday- Thursday / 8:30- 17:00 | Friday / 8:30- 14:00

Scope of Role:

The Head of Sales will oversee sales operations in the UK and Ireland, managing existing accounts and targeting new business opportunities, particularly focusing on UK Grocery Multiple Accounts such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons.

Overview:

The Head of Sales will manage all existing business, with a particular emphasis on Grocery Multiples. The role involves developing and implementing strategic sales plans to drive growth within the existing portfolio while targeting new business opportunities. The Head of Sales will directly manage Grocery Multiples and oversee other accounts through managing and supporting two direct reports.

About the Role:

The Head of Sales will be responsible for managing the sales of Beauty Tools and Accessories across all brands, including Private Label where applicable. They will oversee two direct reports: a National Account Manager (Professional and Independents) and a Junior Account Manager (online accounts).

Role Responsibilities:

  • Full P&L responsibility for all Sales, including monthly reporting.
  • Preparation, management, implementation, and measurement of overall budgets.
  • Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal teams.
  • Leading and motivating the sales team to achieve objectives and targets.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing customer-specific promotional activities.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new National Accounts.
  • Supporting the sales team to develop and implement joint customer business plans.
  • Identifying potential new customers and securing new business.
  • Monitoring competitors' activities and market trends.
  • Responsible for professional presentation of ranges and new products.
  • Attending corporate launches and industry exhibitions.

Key Requirements:

  • UK retail grocery sales experience.
  • Background in sales and account management in FMCG.
  • High level of commercial acumen.
  • Proven track record of sales and profit growth.
  • Strong networking, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Passion for beauty, particularly Beauty Tools and Accessories.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • First-class negotiation skills.
  • Highly motivated, flexible, and adaptable.
  • Willingness to travel nationally with occasional international travel.
  • Strong presence in the office and customer-facing.
  • Fast, logical, commercial thought process.
  • Must possess a valid passport and driving license.
