Head of IT (Education) - Cheshire - £60 - £65k

My client is recruiting for a Head Of IT to join the central team, to provide professional leadership and direction for all IT services. This is a new role, established to oversee the implementation of the IT transformation strategy, which plans a shift towards cloud-based services. The Director of IT will work alongside the Foundation’s other Executive Directors and report into the Chief Finance and Operating Officer.

To be successful in post you will be a credible and experienced IT leader, with a good mix of technical knowledge and experience of leading teams within a not-for profit environment

Experience

  • Proven track record of successfully leading IT services in educational establishments (ideally multi-academy trusts), with understanding of the unique IT requirements for learning management, safeguarding and educational technology tools
  • Leading IT services across multi-site organisations, with a mixture of in house and contracted network management
  • Analysis, implementation and evaluation of business need and the ability to measure successes and adapt accordingly.
  • Experience of leading and managing organisational/technological change including the alignment/migration of systems whilst maintaining stakeholder buy-in
  • Demonstrable experience in performance managing professional staff, driving morale and raising standards, and promoting team ethos
