We are delighted to be the exclusive recruitment partner for the appointment of a new Head of Finance to join Notcutts, based at their head office in Woodbridge.

As part of the senior management team, you will contribute to regular, business wide meetings as well as taking on any additional tasks and duties as agreed with the CFO. Also, you will provide financial oversight, control, advice, and leadership for the organisation.

Responsibilities include:
  • Delivering financial integrity across all relevant processes and procedures
  • Providing quality advice, challenge, insight, reports, and analysis across the business
  • Leading the statutory accounts preparation process and liaison with external auditors and other relevant external advisors
  • Responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounting pack, to include a commentary
  • Handling budgeting and forecasting process
  • Responsible for the payroll process
  • Wide compliance experience to include Statutory Accounts, Audit, VAT/HMRC matters
  • Monitors cost control across the business and challenge where necessary
  • Develop and nurture a business partnering relationship between the finance team and garden centre managers
  • Ad hoc project work as and when required

Key skills:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with relevant post qualified experience
  • Strong technical skills and experience
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams and individuals
  • Excellent communicator
