Head of Business intelligence and analytics

We are looking for a Head of Business and Intelligence and analytics

Minimum of five years' experience in a leadership role within the business intelligence and analytics domain, demonstrating a proven track record of strategic data-driven decision-making and team leadership.
Extensive experience in developing and implementing comprehensive BI and analytics strategies, including the selection and deployment of BI tools, data warehouse development, and advanced analytics initiatives.
Demonstrated expertise in leveraging data analytics and business intelligence to drive business growth, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage.
Strong SQL skills for database querying, data manipulation, and analysis in a data warehouse and transactional database environment.
A solid track record of data analysis, including the ability to identify trends, correlations, and insights from large datasets using statistical analysis techniques.
Proven experience in leading and managing a team of data analysts and BI specialists, with the ability to mentor and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Preference for candidates with knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure ML Studio, and experience in integrating various Microsoft technologies for comprehensive data solutions.
Additional consideration for candidates with data science experience and proficiency in Python, especially in data analysis and machine learning contexts.

The Business Analytics Team acts as the centre of excellence for analytics and process evolution The team is essential to the overall growth and development of the business by providing valuable analyses and insights to key stakeholders, and then acting with them to ensure deployment of activities. The team is constantly looking for ways in which we can make data-led decisions to enable the outcome of growth in revenue and profitability. The output of the department provides the foundation of all decision making across the business, working with key stakeholders across the business and across different departments including IT, marketing, sales and finance.
