We are recruiting a Group Internal Auditor / Internal Audit Associate for our client, a high-growth, PE backed tech business in the West Midlands, UK.

This position, represents the Head Office and its values and vision as a Group. As the sole representative for audit, in a team focussed on governance including risk, controls, the role will report directly to the Global Group Head of Internal Audit and is seen as a high-profile position, with significant importance.

You will be based in the Group head office in Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire, UK, and covers the various businesses owns and managed by the Group in which the company operates. As with most high-growth acquisitive businesses, the amount of travel will be rather balanced, and mostly to locations around Europe, possibly Asia (c. 10% of the time). Although not required for the role, we would however encourage you to go to the office and core operations as much as possible to build your personal brand and reputation across the business, which will be helpful as we are recruiting a ‘leader of the future’, so your network will be vital for your development.

This team provides assurance across the global business – to Finance, HR, IT and Operations - and you will be expected to use your skills in many diverse areas. The company’s audit team is very seen as a corporate advisory team; project leaders, taking on a wide range of topics in many areas of the business. For this reason, it is important to have a track record of delivering results as well as excellent communication and influencing skills and above all, the determination to really make a difference.

This would be an ideal role for a Top 10/Big 4 trained, ideally newly qualified/part qualified accountant/audit/advisory professional (ACA/ACCA, CIMA, CIA, etc.), looking for their first or second move in industry. Fluency in English is essential, and fluency in French would be an advantage, as would some SOX/data experience too. NB. If you are part qualified, the Group will support your study in full (financially and investing time, eg. time off, etc.) to allow you to grow as part of your role as a developing future-leader.
