Group Financial Controller - Wolverhampton

Alexander Daniels have been exclusively engaged by a market leading service business to help them recruit an experience Group Financial Controller.

The Group Financial Controller will be reporting into the Group Finance Director and will be ensuring accurate accounting, reporting and financial regulatory compliance across the Group through leading, controlling and driving excellence across the finance function

The Group Financial Controllers key tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the consolidation of budgets, management accounts, and financial statements, ensuring accurate and prudent reporting at all times in line with current accounting standards
• Controlling and forecasting banking and cash flow requirements, overdraft forecasting, debt repayments, hedging and clean down
• Calculating and forecasting bank covenants to ensure compliance at all times
• Maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, notably banks, professional advisers, auditors, tax advisors and HMRC
• Ensuring compliance with all financial regulatory, audit and tax matters
• Responsible for the management accounts; treasury; payables & receivables, payroll, taxation and project accounting teams.
• Working closely with Divisional Finance Directors and Head of FP&A reporting as part of the senior Finance team.
• Responsible for leading and implementing the finance departments learning and development programme
• Championing technology and process improvement, to run an efficient and proactive finance department

To be successful in the Group Financial Controller position you will have the following:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant
• Experience of working in a FC or FD position in a large service based business
• A breadth of post qualification experience and at least 5 years spent at FC/FD level of a large finance team
• A strong communicator, with the gravitas to influence and lead across all levels, both internally and externally
• Highly motivated, independent, and determined, adapting and keeping pace with fast moving sectoral change

• Salary will be dependant on experience and range from £65k to £80k
