Randstad are recruiting for a Site supervisor/ GF for a civils contractor in Oxford

The work is PAYE & for 6-8 weeks in duration.

Job Description: We are looking for a proactive and results-driven GF to join our dynamic team and lead the successful execution of a civils project in Oxford. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, and a proven track record of managing construction sites efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the civils project, ensuring that all activities are executed in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and budget.
  2. Team Leadership:

    • Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work environment.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to optimize project performance.
  3. Health and Safety Compliance:

    • Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all team members and compliance with relevant regulations.
  4. Quality Assurance:

    • Monitor and maintain high-quality standards throughout the project, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
  5. Client Relations:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for the client, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or queries.
  6. Budget and Resource Management:

    • Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
    • Efficiently allocate resources to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
