Funeral Directors Assistant

Location: Office based

Salary: £neg after successful completion of probation period plus out of hours rates when applicable

Hours: 9.00am-5.00pm this role does require out of hours demands on a rota basis, so flexibility is required.

Responsible to: Management

Key Relationships: All Staff and clients

Location: Southend on Sea, Essex

Additional: Overtime when demands of the company dictate

Duties:

• Key duties within this post broadly involves Pall Bearing and Driving

• Conveyance of Deceased from place of death to our Private Chapel of Rest

• Participate in the out of hours on call rota

• Preparation of Coffins

• Cleaning of the Vehicles and Premises etc.

• You must be fully committed to the company and our client’s welfare and expect a high level of attention to detail and personal appearance.

• You will need to hold a full driving licence, valid to drive in the UK and have a good geographical knowledge of the Southend on Sea Borough.

• Some of the daily tasks can at times be physically demanding. You will need to be a height of 5ft 10 - 6ft due to pall bearing duties.

• Good time keeping, reliability is essential.
