Role: Fullstack Software Developer

Location: Fully Remote. (Please note only applicants based in the UK will be considered for this position).

Salary: £40,000 -£50,000

Applause IT is looking for an experienced fullstack software developer to join a leading SaaS provider within the fleet, logistics, and compliance industry.

Our client has created an award-winning vehicle compliance system for all fleets. This application is a fully integrated and simple compliance solution that replaces the archaic and old-fashioned paper-based daily walk-around checks. With the expansion of their client base, they have adapted and provided new, innovative solutions for their clients. These include their backend fleet management service, where users can monitor the activity of fleet vehicles, view comprehensive maintenance reports, identify outstanding tasks, and schedule vehicle defect services where needed.

The role will be diverse, covering a range of responsibilities, including…

• Continuous updates to the software to future-proof changes in legislation.
• Cloud-based software (AWS), which the app runs.
• The handling of bespoke client log-ins.
• Their application can be used offline as it stores data on their handheld device - so will involve the usage of MySQL data storage & API handling.

The ideal candidate will have experience with...

• Spring Boot / Hibernate
• AWS
• JUnit / Integration testing
• HTML/UI/CSS
• SQL or exposure to other database work
• Exposure to mobile application development / or a motivation to expand into it
