Freight Forwarder Weekends

We are actively looking to engage road, air & sea freight forwarding professionals for an exciting new opportunity as a Freight Forwarder (Weekends) in Castle Donington. The successful candidate will work Friday, Saturday and Sunday across a 3 day working week only!

The business turnover is in exceed of £370m+ group-wide with the new Castle Donington (Leicestershire & Derbyshire) branch accounting for 223% YoY growth!

Description

As an Freight Forwarder (Weekends) you will report into the Operations Manager and work on a 3 day hybrid working pattern. You will only work across Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a mixture of home and office working. You will also have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Preparing road, air and sea freight price quotations - Informing about the freight prices, port charges, cost of special documents, insurance prices as well as prices for handling the goods
• Organising transport through third party transit means.
• Providing valid insurance for the vehicles - trucks and trailers
• Providing appropriate transportation means with adequate load capacity
• Handling customs entries and arranging billings for VAT/Duties
• Ensuring full HAWB and MAWB compliance and customs clearance.

Profile

The successful candidate will have an expansive background in the freight forwarding industry with a bias towards either road or air freight. The ideally Freight Forwarder (Weekends) will have the following skills and experience:

• The desire to work a 3 day working week (across Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
• 2+ year's experience in freight forwarding in either road or air freight
• Experience of pricing, quotating and planning customer deliveries across road, air & sea freight.
• Desirable experience of customs compliance / HAWB & MAWB
• Proven track record of calculating taxes and duties via imported freight
• Excellent customer service experience
• Knowledge of INCOTerms.
• Commutable to Castle Donington (Derbyshire & Leciestershire) for at least a day per week with the rest on a hybrid pattern.
