Freight Coordinator

Right Now Group have partnered up with our client who are a broadcasting and live event freight forwarder to support them in finding an exceptional Freight Coordinator to join their busy team.

Job Responsibilities of a Freight Coordinator:

• Working with key clients to manage freight via all modes of transport (air, road, courier, sea and hand carries)

• Resolve operational challenges and streamline workflows by close collaboration with multi-functional internal and external teams.
• Monitor and action generic email boxes and respond in a timely manner.
• Arranging collection/delivery from/to vendors.
• Produce shipping documentation depending on the mode of transport used
• Preparation of export/import entries in accordance with UK HMRC regulations.

• Assisting the team with quotes for potential new shipments and also the invoicing of job files once completed

The successful Freight Coordinator:

• Will have excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.
• It would be beneficial if you had experience working in freight (our client ships by all modes of transport)
• Have the ability to build and maintain exceptional working relationships with customers, the client and colleagues.
• Ability to follow processes but identify and flag when situations deviate from "normal" activities.
• Maintain a friendly, calm, professional manner reflecting in high service levels expected by the customer.
• Full 5 year checkable work history and clean DBS

More Details:

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30 with an hour for lunch

Salary: Up to £24,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)
