This is an exciting opportunity to join a huge name in technology and media, They are experiencing a period of growth and they are looking for an experienced Synopsis Copy Editor to join their team on a contract basis.

We are looking for a versatile, creative Copy Editor with a love for entertainment. This requires a copy editor who can tackle a high volume of writing assignments with enough creative energy to make each synopsis sing. The team writes copy in English, but professional proficiency in another language is a huge bonus.

What you'll do:

? Proofread (many) synopses about movies, TV shows, games and live events.

? Work closely with assignment editors overseeing the workflow to ensure the copy meets the needs of the writing brief

? Embody editorial principles to create accurate, inclusive and creative synopses that are nuanced enough to resonate with different audiences

? Proofread text and correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors

? Fact-check and collaborate with writers to ensure the copy is aligned

? Check copy for style, readability, and adherence to editorial policies

? Rewrite text to improve clarity and readability

Things you'll need:

? Experience writing or editing about film and TV

? Professional copy editing experience

? Mastery of AP style and attention to detail

? Research skills to help you gather context about titles and quickly synthesize information from a variety of sources
