Food Technology Teacher
The successful Food Technology Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- The ability to teach Food Technology to GCSE level
- A Food Technology/Hygiene certificate
Whilst the role is predominantly teaching Food Technology, there may be occasions where teaching other Design & Technology specialisms is required. As a Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a rich curriculum across KS3 and KS4. It is essential for the successful Food Technology Teacher to set clear classroom expectations and be confident with their behaviour management.
The school provide pupils with a rich, engaging curriculum that is designed to prepare them for further education/later life. As a Food Technology Teacher you will play a key role in this, often providing pupils with skills they will take with them to university and beyond. The school are also keen for the successful Food Technology Teacher to provide pupils with the culinary knowledge to be more independent and give them confidence in the kitchen.
