 Food Technology Teacher
• Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover
• Salary: MPR - UPR (depending on skills and experience)
• Location: East Bergholt, Essex/Suffolk border
• Start Date: April 2024



We are seeking an enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our vibrant Technology department. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Food/Technology lessons from Key Stage 3 to GCSE level, contributing to our tradition of academic success, and supporting the holistic development of our students.


Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 to GCSE level.

• Engage and inspire students, fostering a love for culinary arts and technology.

• Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.

• Contribute to the development of resources and schemes of work within the Technology department.

• Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and whole school training events.

• Support the pastoral needs of students and contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS

• Experience teaching the UK Food Technology Curriculum

• A strong understanding of the national curriculum

• Excellent classroom management skills

• The ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
