Job Title: Food Technology Teacher

Location: Wigan

Start Date: 13th May

Salary: £180 - £220 per day (dependant on experience)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Food Technology teacher with a proven track record in strong behaviour management? We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Secondary School Food Technology teacher to join a school in Wigan that is driven for excellence. This is a 6-week placement starting on the 13th May with the potential to carry on for the rest of academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

- Planning and preparing Food Technology lessons up to KS4 level.

- Utilize strong behaviour management strategies to ensure a conducive atmosphere for learning.

- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal development.

- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the Food Technology department and the school.

Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE in Secondary Education. Must specialise in Food Technology.

- Alternatively, substantial and valuable experience teaching these subjects at Secondary School level.

- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or a willingness to obtain one before starting.

- Exceptional behaviour management skills to create a positive and focused learning environment.

- Passion for inspiring the next generation of Food Technology students.

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

- Effective classroom management skills.
