Fire and Security Engineer
Service, fault-finding and maintenance of Access Control/Door Entry Systems, CCTV, Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting. Automatic Gates and Intruder Alarms advantageous. Good fault-finding skills and ability to resolve technical issues (These would need to be demonstrated at interview stage) Carry out installation work when required (small installs and large sites) Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered, ensuring all works are completed to the relevant standards set out by our regulating bodies. Be able to clearly communicate with the client and administration team. Be capable to work alone, self-motivating and when needed work closely with other engineers to complete the task at hand. Take part in a call out rota where required. Covering all the London and surrounding areas.
Fire and Security Engineer Skills and Experience: Excellent communication skills. Well-organised, presentable, reliable, and good time keeping. Confident can-do attitude with the ability to think on your feet to overcome problems. Good knowledge across the following products. Access Control/Door Entry: Paxton, Comelit, Entrotec, BPT and Impro. CCTV Systems: Hikvision, Hanwha (comfortable with networked cameras is a must) Fire Alarms: Advanced, Kentec, Morley etc (SMS/GENT/Protec all advantageous) Intruder systems: Texecom, Galaxy. Confident in Emergency Light testing. Any automated gate experience or AOV experience is desirable.
You will have a Full UK driving Licence, over 23 years old due to van insurance. You will have at least 3 years’ experience within the Fire & Security industry. We do have a few options for the estimator and are open for either, our preference would be experience in the Fire & Security field of estimating, they would need to have their own transport due to our location.
Fire & Security Estimator Capable of carrying out design analysis from tender information to ensure compliance of fire detection systems An in-depth knowledge of British standards for fire detection systems Secure by Design knowledge CCTV Design planning qualifications A good knowledge of Access control systems Estimating projects with values between £10k to £800k Experience using Simpro software an advantage Strong communication skills with clients & suppliers Experience with smoke ventilation an advantage
Salary between £35,000-£45,000 pa depending on experience, Company Pension, Parking allocation Bupa Employee Assistance program , Enrolment 28 days holiday inc. bank holidays
