Our client is looking to recruit a finishing shop operator at their site in Aldershot to perform deburring processes including setting up and operating machinery that grinds, smooths and buffs aerospace parts, ensuring they are conforming to drawing and specification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deburr and hand finish parts as required by using established procedures, machines and tooling – training will be provided to cover all areas including fettling, polishing, part marking, etc.
  • Visual inspection of parts to ensure each meets the requirements of the order.
  • Be able to work at a high level of quality control to avoid inspection returns.
  • Support colleagues by assisting with other duties when required, to aid the smooth running of the Company.
  • Work in accordance to the quality system and processes of the company.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Be punctual at all times.
  • Adhere to the company’s health and safety requirements and complete training as required.

Skills and Qualifications/experience:

  • Relevant experience gained in a similar industry
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment (ideally production-based) that can be noisy
  • A desire to learn a new skill and develop within a successful company
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Experience of working within a small team

Hours:

Mon -Thur: 07:00 – 15:45, Fri: 06:00 – 13:00

Agreed overtime will be paid at x1.5
