Our client, a reputable consumer finance bank, is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager.

The key purpose of the role is to support the Head of FP&A and manage the team in all relevant areas within FP&A including analysing the monthly financial performance, production of the monthly forecast, monitoring and aiding in internal cost control, assisting with various business plans (including the three-year plan and budget), assisting with the annual statutory accounting close. The FP&A team is responsible for the analysis of financial results, production of forward-looking plans and cost control to help the company achieve its objectives and requires collaboration with all areas of the business.

[Key Responsibilities]
(1) Oversee the FP&A team in reviewing the month-end financial results, challenging these as needed and providing analysis on the company’s performance.

(2) Oversee the team in delivering the monthly forecast: challenging and analysing system outputs.

(3) Assist with the development of annual business plans (3-year plan, budget, etc).

(4) Assist and coordinate development of department plans, ensuring alignment with the overall finance strategy.

(5) Assist and coordinate the development of finance policies and procedures.

(6) Actively identify, investigate, and implement new approaches and techniques to report and reflect the direction of the company.

(7) Direct management of the FP&A team.

(8) Management accounting: budgeting, monthly closing, reporting, cost management and managing procurement process.

(9) Direct, monitor and review the technical activities of the functional area, including understanding policy requirements, assessment of implications and guidance to employees and executive management on their application.

(10) Assist with the year-end statutory account close as required.

(11) Assist and coordinate the development of new standards, systems and processes, which will improve the services provided to the company and ensure compliance with new and changing legislative and regulatory requirements.

(12) Continually evaluate the effectiveness of the FP&A area and seek to improve, investigate, research, recommend and implement new approaches and techniques, keeping abreast of changing environments, ensuring industry best practice applied.

(13) Performance report / Key index.

(14) Detail analysis report requested from management and the finance leadership.

(15) In line with the company’s risk and compliance statement of responsibility and objectives: identify and assess risks, incidents and breaches.

[Requirements]
(1) Must have minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis

(2) Must have relevant degree or qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA, etc.

(3) Experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships with Executives and Senior Managers, within and outside Finance, through personal credibility and delivery of results.

(4) Involvement in the development of policies, procedures and standards of the department and the business over a long horizon.

(5) Considerable experience of people management, including performance management and ability to coach & mentor other senior finance professionals.

(6) Any level of Korean language skill is an advantage but not essential


[Conditions]
(1) Job type: full-time & permanent

(2) Job location: London

(3) Hybrid working: 3 days in the office & 2 days working from home

(4) Salary: up to 66K (depending on experience)

(5) Performance based bonus (up to 15%)

(6) Annual leave: 38 days (including 8 Bank/Public Holidays)
