The organisation now requires an articulate, experienced, Financial Controller to really take ownership of the function and to support the leadership with all aspects of financial management. You will mentor and manage a small team and work closely with the wider business to provide greater financial understanding and awareness.

Working closely with their highly engaging and supportive Managing Director, this will suit an experienced Financial Controller who has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a variety of operational stakeholders, as well as having a 'hands-on’ mentality.

This role needs someone who can work autonomously and use their initiative to deliver robust management accounts, valuable MI and project accounting analysis, and to work on continual review of processes, systems and to increase efficiencies.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet control and MI reporting
  • Board reporting and working closely with SLT
  • Year End accounting and liaison with auditors
  • Business Partnering with project managers and operations
  • Project accounting including variance analysis
  • Tax compliance including VAT and CIS
  • Management of the finance team
