Are you an aspiring Business Partner or Financial Analyst?

This role is aimed at someone who has the desire to develop towards a professional accounting qualification within an analytical and business partnering role. The position will see you support the Financial Controller in maintaining various key analytical models and master data whilst also undertaking month end analysis and report preparation.

You will gain a full understanding of the cost base and support margin improvement across this large manufacturing business.

You will ideally be studying towards your professional accountancy qualification and have some experience in similar role. You will also be able to show strong work ethic, have excellent communication skills and be able to thrive in fast paced, often high-pressure environment.

• Update and maintain various key Excel analysis models.
• Development of more automation and efficiency through Power BI, allowing more time for insights and decision support
• Support reconciliation of monthly inventory count and balance sheet value including revaluation analysis
• Month end accounting review and accrual/prepayment preparation for correct accounting of warehouse and distribution costs
• Tracking and analysis of costs with focus on controllable costs
• AX master data updates and maintenance.
• Support the development of new customer profitability model.
• Act as business partner to various colleagues within Supply Chain supporting right decisions and focus on optimising performance.
• Completion of external agency surveys as required.
• Support other team members, deputising where appropriate.

• Month end corrections and accruals posted accurately and on time
• On time delivery of correct cost calculations and KPIs
• Understanding of connections between master data and the various analytical models
• Progression towards a professional qualification

• Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing analysis and reports
• Builds positive colleague relationships.
