Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking. This role will analyse financial data and create financial models for decision support.

Description

Financial Analyst:

• Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Support in the budget and reforecasting process
• Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimisation.
• Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
• Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.
• Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.

Profile

A successful Financial Analyst should have:

• A degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions.
• Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
• Good business acumen.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, Access, etc.
• Familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful.
• Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
• Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
