Financial Accountant - Series-B SaaS - London

£55,000 - £60,000 + benefits

Talentedge are exclusively representing a high-growth Series-B SaaS organisation headquartered in London. They are expanding their global presence and are at early stages in expanding their London team with this role, to support their continued growth. They are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Financial Accountant to join the finance team and contribute to the company's continued success.

As a Technical Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy of financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the Financial Controller in various financial reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:

    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data for reporting purposes.
  • Technical Accounting:

    • Reviewing accounting standards and ensure the company's accounting policies align with best practices.
    • Research and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
  • Audit Support:

    • Act as a key point of contact for external auditors during the annual audit process.
    • Prepare audit schedules and support the timely completion of audit requests.
  • Revenue Recognition:

    • Work closely with the Revenue team to ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
    • Provide guidance on revenue accounting matters.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and contribute to the implementation of improvements.
    • Streamline and automate financial reporting processes where possible.

    Qualifications:

    • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent) from a top 10 practice.
    • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with IFRS and ASC 606.
    • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
