Location: Caldicot

Position: Full time, Permanent (Hybrid working available)

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 p/a + benefits

This position is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to progress and step up their career. Responsibilities of Finance Officer:

• Process and manage all Purchase and Sales Ledger transactions
• Raising sales invoices and credit notes in line with purchase orders
• Follow and chase debtors when necessary  
• Reconcile bank and ledger statements and ensure all accounts are balanced
• Prepare and review financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements
• Assisting the Financial Controller with the month end
• Dealing with internal and external finance queries when required
• Performing other adhoc accounting and administration duties related to the processing of Accounts

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience within a busy Finance team
• AAT or equivalent finance qualification
• Planning and organisational abilities, able to prioritise workload accordingly and work to deadlines timely
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Proficient across Microsoft platforms, Excel in particular
• The ability to engage and develop strong relationships
