Finance Officer – 30 hours a week
My client in Bassingbourn is looking for a Finance officer to join their team. This will be completing a 30 hour week which can be spread over 5 days or 4 full days with a day off in the week.
They also offer 1 day working from home along with a salary of 28K FTE
 
You will be working closely with the Head of Finance to deliver timely financial support to their team and clients.
What you will do as a Finance Officer:
  • Monitor the finance inbox for first-line customer support.
  • Manage accounts payable from invoice submission to payment.
  • Review and send sales invoices to clients (Accounts Receivable).
  • Conduct Credit Control for sales invoices, from initial chase to escalation.
  • Oversee company credit card, petty cash, and receipts.
  • Assist with Payroll and month/year-end processes.
  • Prepare initial VAT returns for review by the Head of Finance.
  • Provide timely financial information for decision-making, such as project profitability and client spend.
 
What you will need as a Finance Officer:
  • AAT advanced diploma in accounting (QCF Level 3 or higher)
  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Good working knowledge of Xero accounting software (or other accounting software)
  • Experience in a finance team providing first-line support
  • Competent with Microsoft 365 products: Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Accurate, proactive, and constructive communication skills
